Ensuring Pride and Safety for our Team

Because of the ongoing threats and targeting of 2SLGBTQIA+ work, non-profits generally, and pride organizations, specifically, we’ve made the decision not to share Volunteer board member full names or photos here. This is about keeping our team safe—plain and simple. The Central Arkansas Pride team is made up of individuals who not only do the work, but live the work. Our community knows us, and we are proud to be part of the community.

While we hope this is a temporary change, we recognize it might feel strange – it does to us. Nothing has changed about our mission to foster pride, equality, and respect for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities locally, nationally, and globally.

If you need to get in touch, please email us, and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. We’re grateful for your support and for standing with us in protecting the people who work everyday to help build a world free of prejudice and bias.

“The 2026 US Association of Prides conference offered a wealth of education and fellowship as Pride organizers and leaders in the movement convened in Milwaukee, February 5- 8th 2026. Receiving this induction to the 2026 Hall of Fame is truly humbling. I am so thankful to our volunteers, entertainers, partners, and sponsors who made this possible, as the LGBTQIA+ community and allies show up with joy and resilience to fight for our civil rights. Thank you to all who have supported and believed in Central Arkansas Pride’s mission”. Dolores Wilk

Bio:

Beginning as a volunteer at Central Arkansas Pride in 2016, Dolores identified gaps in support and information for families and youth! D’s leadership transformed a simple information tent into a community powerhouse that connects people to resources, fosters mentorship, and uplifts voices across the state.

Dolores has served in essential leadership roles, including Parade Director, Video Curator for Virtual PRIDE during the pandemic, and currently Executive Director, guiding Central Arkansas Pride’s mission with a steady commitment to visibility, safety, and education. Their advocacy includes testimony at the state capital and collaboration with Pride organizations nationwide, reinforcing the belief that unity and compassion drive real progress.

Dolores’s work not only amplifies LGBTQIA+ narratives but also strengthens the broader community by building bridges, encouraging allyship, and creating inclusive spaces. This combination of impact, leadership, and steadfast dedication to equality is why D has been honored with Hall of Fame recognition.
